Hello, dear Medium readers,

Oof — it’s been a wild chapter. In the world, in life, for me personally, and for so many of us.

If you’ve been here with me on Medium for a while — or if we’re friends, colleagues, or just connected online — you’ve seen my work grow and shift: television, movies, viral essays, stand-up comedy, a book about unsubscribing from the noise.

And then… life showed up. Big time.

After the pandemic, the Hollywood strikes, falling in love, getting engaged, getting cancer (FFS) — it’s been a wild five years. A total rollercoaster of heartbreak, joy, uncertainty, and grace.

But here’s what’s clear on the other side of all of that: I love my work. I believe in it. And I’m doubling down on it. Writing, creating, performing — telling stories that make us feel more alive, more human, more connected.

This spring and summer, I’ll be teaching. That’s what this desk pic is about. I’ve spent the last few months getting ready to share everything I know about storytelling, creativity, and writing — through a series of pop-up Zoom classes, launching May 1.
